Coalition on Racial and Ethnic Justice (COREJ)
The ABA Coalition on Racial and Ethnic Justice (COREJ)
examines issues stemming from the intersection of race and ethnicity with the
legal system. COREJ partners with both ABA and non-ABA entities to develop
policies, programming, and initiatives that address systemic racial and ethnic
inequalities. We serve as the conscience of the ABA, raising awareness and
acting on social justice issues.
Your Gift Matters

lasting impact. Every contribution helps us:
- Expand outreach to underserved communities
- Create impactful events and discussions on racial justice

Our Impact
COREJ’s work is making real strides in combating racial and
ethnic injustice. Here are some of the key areas where we are driving change:
- Juvenile
Justice Advocacy: Reforming juvenile detention practices to ensure
youth of color receive fair treatment within the legal system.
- Criminal
Justice Reform: Addressing the criminalization of Black and Latino
communities, advocating for policies that reduce inequities and provide
pathways for change.
- Community-Based
Initiatives: Collaborating with grassroots organizations to tackle
racial disparities in healthcare, housing, and employment.
